Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Nkuruba Community Tours guide and transferred to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, relax after your flight or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Entebbe as you prepare for your Ugandan adventure.

Day 2: Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey southwest through Uganda's scenic countryside.

Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and refreshments before continuing to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's smallest savannah park and one of the country's best destinations for close wildlife encounters.

After lunch, enjoy your first afternoon game drive. Keep an eye out for: Zebras, Rothschild's giraffes, Elands, Impalas, Topis, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Hippos, and numerous bird species.

Day 3: Walking Safari & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Accompanied by an armed ranger, explore the African wilderness on foot while encountering zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, elands, and many bird species from a unique perspective.

After breakfast, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The scenic drive passes through rolling hills, tea plantations, terraced farms, and traditional villages before arriving at the legendary rainforest, home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari.

After an early breakfast, report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing before entering the ancient Bwindi rainforest with experienced ranger guides.

The trek may take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family.

Your reward is an unforgettable hour spent observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, groom, and interact in their natural habitat.

After lunch, travel to the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous worldwide for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in giant fig trees.

Day 5: Ishasha Game Drive – Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

As you continue through Queen Elizabeth National Park, watch for: African elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Lions, Hyenas, Waterbucks, Warthogs, and Giant forest hogs.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge – Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, head to the spectacular Kyambura Gorge, often referred to as the Valley of Apes.

Hidden beneath towering cliffs is a lush tropical forest that shelters a community of wild chimpanzees.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, trek through this unique ecosystem while searching for chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, colourful birds, and butterflies.

After your chimpanzee experience, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe with lunch served en route.

Arrive in the evening for your overnight stay.
